Installation Procedure - Mocha Wan Extension for EtherPeek



1. Install EtherPeek NX from the WildPackets CD
this will install to :-
Program  files->WildPackets->EtherPeek NX

2. Insert the MOCHA WAN Adapter Card in either of the PCCard (pcmcia slots) in the PC

On screen message "Windows has found new hardware and is looking for the driver"  "Add New Hardware Wizard" will appear.
Click "Next"
Click "Search for the best driver" and click on "Next"
Click on CD_ROM drive box and "Specify a location"
"Browse" to the select the CD drive
Click on "Next"
Click to View List of Drivers

ENSURE YOU SELECT ONLY
NETMOCHA.INF for Windows 2000 and XP
MOCHA.INF for Windows 98

click "next" to proceed with the installation of the selected
 .inf driver information file

Windows will now proceed to install the driver, this may take a while, but will eventually display the
"Windows has finished installing ......." screen.
Click on "Finish" 
Don't Restart your Computer Yet.
You now need to disable any BINDINGS which may be attached to the MOCHA Card.

Press START->Settings->Control Panel->Network
Click to HIGHLIGHT the
 "Logix Mocha Wan Adapter 16 bit PC Card"
Click on "Properties"
Select "Bindings" TAB
UNSELECT any Bindings which are ticked (TCP/IP / IPX or SPX Bindings)
Click "OK"
You will get a Windows Message "You have not selected any drivers to bind ........
would you like to select one now?"
Click on  "NO"
There should also be No Sharing or Client association with the Mocha card.

You will be back to the Network Panel, click "OK" to finish
"You must restart your computer ..........."
Click on " YES" to restart with the new Mocha Card and Driver settings.

Wait while Windows reboots.

3. Install the Mocha Wan support files.

Installing the Wan Device Driver, Decoder and COntrol Applet support Files

From the Installation CD, 
select directory Win2000XP or Win98

run SETUP.EXE to install the WAN support files.

This will install the WAN Device Driver ".sys" and ".com" files to the Windows System Drivers Directory.

Make sure you select the correct Directory:-

windows 2000	WINNT/system32/drivers
windows XP	Windows/system32/drivers	
windows 98	Windows/system

the WAN Decoder files will be copied to
Program Files\WildPackets\Etherpeek NX\Decodes 

the Mocha Control Applets
Mocha_App.exe - for WAN protocol selection
Mocha_E1.exe and P100Driver.dll - for E1/G703 Interface control
will be installed to

Program Files\WildPackets\Etherpeek NX\


Plug and Play Installation files required.
